Keeping Up Your Thai
Why?
It may seem obvious, but I find that reviewing why I don't want to lose my Thai helps motivate me to study the language further. With that said, the first and foremost reason is that God has helped us to learn the language and He didn't intend for us to use it only in the year and a half or two years that we were in Thailand as missionaries. A release from full-time missionary service is not a release from the divine mandate to all disciples to build the kingdom of God, and He expects us to continue building.
Other than that, Thai is a beautiful language and studying it is fun and there are any number of other reasons.
